Technivorm Moccamaster - KBGV Select Brewer Glass Carafe Rose Gold - 53935

After getting tired of buying $35 to $200 coffee makers from big box stores that fail every year or so, I thought I'd try a more expensive product in hopes it would last longer. I've owned this Moccamaster for two years now (purchased from EP in Jan 2022) and I'm very happy to own it. I make at least three 8-cup pots per day, totalling more than 1100 uses per year. I've seen reviews online where some owners have used their Moccamaster for 20 years so I'm interested to see how long this one lasts. Hopefully it will be the last 10-cup maker that I buy, though I may buy a smaller single-serving machine in the future.

Advantages: Large opening on the water reservoir enables trouble-free filling. Rapid brewing cycle. Components dismantle easily to enable cleaning. Non-typical but appealing appearance. Multiple colour options. For some, entertaining - my wife loves watching the water flow upwards into the drip tube.

Disadvantages: Occasionally a drop or two of condensed steam drip from the filter basket lid to the base of the machine, or onto the warming plate. This maker may not fit under some kitchen cabinets.
