Bunn-O-Matic Bunn-o-Matic began with its founding back in 1957 after George Bunn invented the first fluted coffee filter. The fluted filter gave the filter enough body to stand on its own, and prevents spillage of grounds which can easily ruin an otherwise perfect cup of coffee.
