This high-performance semi-automatic comes equipped with tools we would normally expect of much larger prosumer machines that run for $2000 or more.

With a custom machined E61 group head and a PID controller, you can expect great temperature stability and the option to adjust brew temperature to bring out more subtle flavors in high-altitude coffee, as well as adjust steam temperature to get the steaming power you like. To complete your set of tools is the easily accessed pump pressure adjustment screw, which can be found beneath the cup tray.

Single Boiler

The Classika PID brews with a single 0.75 liter stainless steel boiler, which is an important consideration when it comes to capacity versus needs. the Classika  PID is a single-boiler machine, you can pull shot after shot but you can not brew and steam at the same time like you can with a heat exchanger machine. You'll need to cool and fill the boiler after steaming but it is an easy process and doesn't take long. Expect warm up times of about 15 minutes until brew-ready. Steam is ready in just 40 seconds. This makes the Classika PID good for espresso lovers who want perfectly crafted shots at greatly reduced cost and still have room on your counter for a nice grinder.

PID Controller

Control boiler temperature for searching out those elusive coffee flavors. The integrated shot timer compliments this by giving you a live readout of how long you’ve been pulling your shot.

E61 Brew Group

The E61 grouphead is constantly heated with water from the thermosyphon system for temperature stability. It also features a pre-infusion cylinder to aid in the extraction process.

Handmade & High-End Construction

The machine is housed in mirror-finished, stainless steel panels. It rests on a one-piece internal steel frame, which protects it from bending or bowing during shipping or as the result of continuous use.
