Make those lovely lattes in your home

There's hope, says Calgarian Susan Zimmer. You can drag a long needle (or a bamboo skewer or toothpick) through the milk to expose the espresso underneath, creating a pattern in the foam.

Or you can simply use a coffee stencil.

Made of plastic or metal, the stencil sits on top of your latte; you then dust the stencil with a light coating of powdered cinnamon, chocolate or cocoa.

Lift up the stencil and presto! You'll have a beautifully formed design on top of your latte.
