Make Tea with Bodum

Put the desired amount of tea into the center column. For each litre of water we recommend 2-3 BODUMR scoops of black tea, or 3 scoops of herbal or fruit teas. (1 scoop = .25 oz or one rounded dessert spoon.)
For green and speciality teas, follow the recommendation of your tea retailer or see the instructions on the BODUMR Tea package.
Pour in hot water. The maximum fill line is 4 cm below the spout. An overfilled teapot will not pour properly.
Place lid on pot with the plunger in the raised position.
Let tea brew. We recommend 3 - 5 minutes for black teas, or 5 - 10 minutes for herbal or fruit teas. For green and speciality teas, follow the recommendation of your tea retailer or see the instructions on the BODUMR-Tea package.
When tea has reached your preferred strength, push the plunger down firmly. The tea is now sealed in the base of the column, away from the hot water. Brewing is stopped and your tea will remain at its current strength.
You may speed up infusion if you wish by gently moving the plunger up and down two or three times. If using teabags, take care that they do not become trapped between plunger and column wall.
Serve and enjoy.
