The beautiful, simple-to-use interface disguises a powerful array of drink options that we can’t help but get excited about. Like the Accademia before it, the Babila delivers on ease-of-use and programmability with its eight drink options which can be personalized by preferred strength, volume, temperature, and taste. 

The Babila is as flexible as it is easy to use, with its ceramic burr grinder adjustable across fifteen settings, and an integrated bypass doser for pre-ground coffee brewing. A manual steam wand, unique for one-touch machines, is integrated into the Babilia as well as an automated milk carafe, for the barista who wants convenience without sacrificing control. Similarly, the flow adjustment dial on the height-adjustable coffee dispenser allows for further refinement of the extraction. Live the good life with the Gaggia Babila.

The Babila is as easy to keep clean as it is to use. The machine is programmed to rinse the milk carafe after each use, and automated maintenance alerts keep you apprised of low beans or water, and when the dreg drawer or drip tray needs to be emptied. Plus, Gaggia’s removable brew group design allows you to slide out the group for manual cleaning in the sink. We love that Gaggia includes a water hardness test strip, and allows you to program in the result, so that the Babila can alert you when it’s time to descale or change the AquaClean water filter; but, don’t worry, that won’t be for a while, since the AquaClean keeps water nice and clean for a whopping 5000 brews. The Babila is one of Gaggia’s top tier machines, and we’re sure you’ll love it as much as we do; however, if you need a bit larger capacities, take a look at the Gaggia Accademia as it has many of the same great features as the Babila.

Programmable One-Touch Brewing

The Gaggia Babila has eight fully programmable drink options to deliver tailor-made espresso drinks for days, including: espresso, lungo, coffee, ristretto, cappuccino, espresso macchiato, latte macchiato, flat white and milk foam. Beverage temperature, strength, and volume can be preset, and, by double clicking one, the coffee options can all be prepared twice consecutively.

Flow Adjustment Dial

For additional refinement of your drink, the flow adjustment dial located in the brew spouts allows you to restrict or increase the flow of water through the grounds. Use an increased flow for espresso lungo and coffees and a more restricted flow for crema rich ristretto and espresso.

Ceramic Burr Grinder

The Babila’s quiet grinder utilizes ceramic burrs, so as to avoid unnecessary heat transference during grinding. It’s adjustable across 15 grind settings to ensure users are able to dial in the grind to suit their preferred roasts, and a bypass doser allows for pre-ground coffee brewing.

Automated Cleaning and Maintenance

The Babila comes programmed with brew group, carafe clean and descaling maintenance cycles that can be accessed through the settings menu; each cycle alerts the user and is automatic once begun. The included AquaClean water filter lasts for 5000 brews, and the carafe is independently certified by the German VDE institute for its hygienic performance.

Customization

Thanks to the beverages menu you can manage and customize the 11 available beverages as you prefer. Depending on the selected drink, you can choose aroma, body and temperature of coffee, coffee and/or milk length, the pre-brewing level and adjust the milk froth.

Babila brews 5 pre-set coffee and milk-based beverages at one-touch, for an always impeccable in-cup result.

Dual Boiler

The two boilers reduce the waiting time between brewing the espresso and dispensing steam to froth milk.

Integrated Milk Carafe & Auto Cleaning

The integrated milk carafe froths the milk twice to remove all bubbles and impurities. The result is a perfect froth, always at the right temperature to make flawless cappuccinos and other milk-based drinks. Moreover, the automatic cleaning thoroughly cleans the milk circuit without the need to empty the carafe.
