Synopsis: Please be aware that this unit should not be left on its base when not in use.
Please be aware that this unit should not be left on its base when not in use (unless unplugged).  It will still draw power while sitting and there is the potential for a short-circuit, which could render the unit irreparable (and wouldn't be covered by warranty).
