The one-touch Gaggia Accademia super-automatic is an entertainer or office’s dream. The Accademia’s dual-boilers allow for an immediate transition from brewing to steaming with no downtime in between. Anyone can step right up and brew an espresso, caffe, caffe lungo, cappuccino, latte macchiato, or get hot water, and programing one is a snap to learn. The Accademia is as flexible as it is easy to use, with an integrated bypass doser for pre-ground coffee brewing, and a manual steam wand, unique for one-touch machines, for the barista who wants convenience without sacrificing control. Of course, the carafe is convenient and capable of steaming milk to your preferred froth level automatically. Similarly, the flow adjustment dial on the height-adjustable coffee dispenser allows for even more control over the extraction.

The Accademia impressed us with its detachable milk carafe, which snaps into place, frothing up delicious bevvies on demand and automatically rinsing afterward. One thing to keep in mind with the Accademia, it doesn’t get milk straight from the refrigerator quite as hot as some other machines. It’s within the temperature sweet spot, but, if you like your milk on the hotter side, you can always steam with the wand, or take a look at the Gaggia Velasca Prestige or Gaggia Babilia for hotter automatic steaming machines. Back to the Accademia, it’s a smart machine, alerting you to any maintenance needs along the way, and descaling all on its own. We think the Gaggia Accademia is a modern, attractive machine that would look great in any kitchen. It features a contemporary stainless steel front panel punctuated by a bright display and intuitive push-button controls. ## Programmable One-Touch Brewing

The Gaggia Accademia has seven fully programmable drink options to deliver tailor-made espresso drinks for days. Beverage temperature, strength, and volume can be preset to your specifications. The same goes for milk selections, which allow you to choose from minimal, normal, or no froth options.

## Flow Adjustment Dial

Gaggia’s unique pre-brewing cycle infuses coffee grounds with hot water to help extract the best possible flavor and aroma from the espresso. The Accademia’s flow adjustment dial offers even greater control over the extraction, allowing you to make adjustments during brewing to ensure the best possible pull and a rich layer of crema.

## Milk Management System

An external milk circuit ensures that milk does not enter the machine and the detachable carafe can be stored in the fridge for your convenience. An automatic cleaning cycle rinses the milk circuit after each use, to ensure that it is free of clogs and contaminants. A steam wand is included as well, should you wish to froth manually.

## Automated Cleaning and Maintenance
