Water Softener Cartridge for Rancilio Silvia.

  • Reduces damaging minerals from hard water
  • Rated for 450 shots before recharging
  • Fits inside water reservoirs with a hose intake to the pump (7mm connection)
  • Measures 133mm tall; 59mm diameter
    • Scale buildup is the number one problem of boiler failure. It can lead to premature steam valve leakage, heating coil corrosion and even pump failure. Use this Rancilio water softener with your Silvia or Epoca ST1 to reduce those damaging minerals from your hard water. Don't be lulled into a false sense of security with those filters on the end of your sink or inside your refrigerator; they only remove chlorine and other taste-altering impurities. Unlike other kinds of filters, you only have to buy the Rancilio water softener once a year if recharged regularly with a saturated saline solution. Descaling will still be necessary and should be scheduled based on the frequency of use and the hardness of the raw water supply

    Compatibility


    The Rancilio Water Softener is designed to work with the Rancilio Silvia and Epoca ST1 espresso machines. It will also work with any espresso machine that has a water tank AND draws the water out of that tank with a "drop-in" hose.

    Method:

    • Rinse under tap water first to activate
    • Connect to long water tube (supply line)
    • Remove before descaling the machine
