    Description

    The ECM Puristika

When the ECM Elektronika II Profi was revealed to us, we were immediately intrigued by it's preference for automatic controls. Dedicated volumetric brewing buttons are something you don't really see in the prosumer market, where manual control is key. However, considering ECM's philosophy on innovative design, it's no surprise something so bold could arrive.

With the Elektronika II Profi, you can expect ECM's signature features: dual-pressure gauges, an E61 group, joystick water valve controls, and a sleek housing with rounded edges. The rotary pump works in combination with the Elektronika II's sound-absorbing design to make brewing nearly silent as well. However, the real convenience is found in the array of volumetric controls, which automatically dispense pre-programmed

The ECM Puristika is a chic and compact single-boiler and espresso only machine. Featuring a PID control, external 2L glass water reservoir, and an expansion valve adjustment knob, you can explore the possibilities of every coffee while leaving room on your counter for everything else.

    Who is it for?

This machine is for those seeking a designer machine, and truly excellent espresso — nothing else. The Puristika excludes a steam wand, leaving more room for things that matter to a shot of espresso such as a built-in PID, pressure gauge, and adjustable expansion valve knob.

    Benefits:

Like all machines by ECM, every detail is deliberately crafted. From the anthracite housing to the midnight blue gauges, and the stunning glass water reservoir, the Puristika is more than a solid espresso machine — it’s a designer piece. The E61 group head, PID, and expansion valve adjustment knob give more control to the barista and more versatility to espresso.

    Features

    Brew Pressure Knob

Bold and blue, the brew pressure knob takes the concept of an external OPV (over pressure valve) and runs with it. With your thumb and forefinger you can adjust brew pressures between 8.5 and 12 bar to your liking. For full symmetry the brew pressure gauge features the same navy color with bold white font.

    Multi-Position Water Tank

In an inspired bit of engineering, ECM separated the water tank from the rest of the machine. Connected via the braided steel water intake and return lines, the 2 liter glass reservoir can be positioned to your liking behind or on either side of the Puristika.

    PID Temperature Controller

The nerve center of the Puristika, the PID controller allows you to set your desired brew temperature within 1 degree (Fahrenheit or Celsius). In addition to controlling and regulating the boiler, it doubles as a shot timer while brewing, allows you to set a backflush reminder, and let’s you program the Puristika’s Eco Mode.

    Next Generation Style

While it borrows some elements from the design of previous ECM machines, the Puristika blazes trails with new colors and new materials. From the cool navy gauge and pressure knob to the glass reservoir the Puristika is subtle and beautiful.

volumes of espresso and can be reprogrammed to your preference. We've found this to be especially handy when making lattes; just press a button to brew and forget while you get to work steaming your milk. Because brewing is automatic, you won't need to keep an eye out on your espresso while you froth. For when you want a little more control, manual brewing is still an option.

This is a great machine for anyone who has guests who may not be as experienced with pulling a shot, or busy bodies that want to get other things done while your drink is prepared.

    Heat Exchanger

The Elektronika II Profi is equipped with a 1400 W stainless steel boiler with a capacity of 2.1 L. As a heat exchanger machine, you can expect to brew and steam without waiting, or even at the same time.

    Switchable Water Source

With the flip of a switch, the Elektronika II Profi can choose which source of water is being used, between the reservoir and a direct water line connection. The reservoir boasts a capacity of 3 liters.

    E61 Brew Group

The E61 grouphead is constantly heated with water from the thermosyphon system for temperature stability. It also features a pre-infusion cylinder to aid in the extraction process.

    Handmade & High-End Construction

The machine is housed in mirror-finished, stainless steel panels. It rests on a one-piece internal steel frame, which protects it from bending or bowing during shipping or as the result of continuous use.

    The C-Manuale 54

The grinder is the single most important piece of equipment that accompanies an espresso machine and we can tell that ECM kept this in mind when they designed the C-Manuale 54 burr grinder. With a strong but quiet 235W motor and a set of 54mm stainless steel burrs, this grinder is all about value. A nice finishing touch we noticed is the vented housing for greater airflow and cooler operation so your coffee beans aren't affected during the grinding process.

The C-Manuale 54 is easy to set up and use. Grind adjustment is stepped, so you can easily dial in for a range of brew methods and return the adjustment collar to just the right spot when you feel like switching back. Owing to its name, the C-Manuale 54 manual grinds only, making it a stand-out option for those who want more control and don't want to bother with programming dosage. All-in-all, the C-Manuale 54 stands out as a solid companion to any prosumer home espresso machine.

    Features:

    • Easy cleaning due to removable spout
    • Visual highlight: a red grinding scale
    • 235 Watt Motor: The C-Manuale 54 can grind about 9 grams of coffee in about 8 seconds. While not as fast as more powerful, more expensive grinders, the C-Manuale is impressive for its small size.
    • Manual grinding function: All you need to do to grind is push in your portafilter and hold. Grinds will dispense smoothly into the portafilter until the button is released. Adding a separate scale will really help with the consistency of your shots.
    • Lock in the grind
    • Burrs: 54mm Stainless steel
    • Body in polished stainless steel with cooling vents for a better heat release from the motor
