What’s Going on in the Coffee Market?

1. Unpredictable Weather and Supply Issues
   The global coffee market is facing challenges due to unpredictable weather patterns. Last year, countries like Brazil, which produce a significant portion of the world’s coffee, dealt with severe droughts and frost. As you might guess, this has led to a smaller harvest and higher prices for the beans. With less supply and continued high demand, the price of coffee beans has gone up.

2. Shipping and Transportation Costs
   The price of pretty much everything has gone up lately, including shipping costs skyrocketing due to fuel price increases and ongoing delays in global supply chains. Coffee beans, which travel from all over the world, are no exception. This added cost is affecting all stages of production, from the farm to your cup.

3. Rising Costs Across the Board
   Beyond the coffee itself, the overall cost of running our business is increasing too. Inflation has made everything from packaging to labour more expensive.

4. A Growing Demand for Better Coffee
   People are demanding more premium, sustainable coffee than ever before, and that’s something we’re proud to support. However, ethically sourced and high-quality coffee comes at a higher price, and that’s reflected across the industry.

What Does This Mean for You?

You’ll notice a roughly 15 - 25% increase in the price of our coffee beans. We know this may not be the news you were hoping for, but we want to assure you that it’s necessary for us to continue offering the quality you expect. Rest assured, we’re working hard to keep our prices fair and still some of the most affordable beans available while maintaining the premium quality that makes your coffee experience special.
