I purchased this as a replacement for a nearly 20 year old Saeco Italia machine, and I couldn't be more pleased with my choice. The customer service from Espresso Planet is top notch, and my product arrived quickly and very well protected during shipping. As for the machine, Starbucks' loss, and my gain. Since buying the machine a little over a year go, we've run in excess of 600 beverages through it. My wife and I mostly consume lattes, and use both the automatic grinder and milk frother attachment. There are a wide variety of personalized settings you can apply, from brew strength, to volume, and temperature. You can also choose to manually steam and froth your milk if you like to perform latte art. I've only had the machine for a year, so time will tell how long it lasts, but I suspect that if properly maintained, we should have a long and happy relationship.

The Cafelat XT Tamper is both a functional work of art and a piece of simple engineering perfection. This is the last tamper you ever need to buy.

This is the first product in the new XT range from Cafelat, all invented, designed and engineered by Paul Pratt and Chic Kelty. The tamper is packed full on new features that make it stand out from the rest.

The XT Tamper is a precision piece of kit, built to do a job, but is also hand crafted and no two are the same.

The tamper is 100% stainless steel, yet weighs only 370g for a 58mm which is about the same as a standard wood handled steel base tamper.

The height of the handle can be adjusted to suit the hand size of the barista, the tamper has an adjustment range of 20mm and is lockable along any point. The locking mechanism is hidden away inside for a seamless look.

A tamper set includes the complete Tamper, the blue silicone tamper seat and the "allen" key for adjusting the height. This tamper is not suitable for the Robot - Manual Espresso Maker.
