The Sterilight Water MachineTM uses the same purification processes found in nature: OZONE, mixes with incoming tap water to destroy contaminants and improve taste leaving no chemical residual. UV, is uses to flood the ozone saturated water with high intensity UV energy, destroying microorganisms including bacteria, virus and protozoan cysts. PHOTO OXIDATION, occurs when UV and ozone work together to destroy contaminants and microbes. ACTIVATED CARBON, is used after ozone, UV and photo oxidation to filter out chlorine, lead, and tiny particulate matter including protozoan cysts. This one micron filter also converts residual ozone back to oxygen. POST UV, is used at the final point to ensure that only clean, pure water leaves the machine

The Sterilight SWM1 and SWM1/2 water disinfection systems carry a limited one year warranty (not on replacement filter cartridges).
