The Z5 monitors the usage of the machine and
automatically makes the appropriate decisions and suggests actions. For
example, once you make a milk product such as a cappuccino, it'll bring
up a message after a few minutes reminding you that you should rinse the
frother. Great, because we know milk grows bacteria after a few minutes.
So, the frother is always in a clean condition.
When you open the grinder by-pass lid, the Z5
defaults into pre-ground mode automatically. This saves a couple of push
button steps. It even detects if not enough ground coffee is being used.
When the rinsing button is pushed, the Z5 will also
clean the frother if a milk product has been dispensed but not if the
frother hasn't been used. This of course is also happening when the
machine is being turned off.
You'll notice a slight delay before the Z5 will
start foaming milk after pressing the cappuccino button. This is due to
the single boiler issue. However it only takes about 5 seconds for the
steam to kick-in and this is quiet impressive.
The Z5 even comes with a little elegant milk
thermos cooler. It features double wall insulation. If this isn't enough
